How do I create an account?
- Download HabitSpark from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
- Tap “Create Account” or sign in with Google/Apple
- Verify your email (check spam folder if you don’t see it)
- Complete the quick onboarding to personalize your experience
How do I add a habit?
- Tap the + button on the home screen
- Enter a habit name (e.g., “Drink 8 glasses of water”)
- Optionally set a reminder time
- Tap “Create” β that’s it!
What are streaks?
Streaks count consecutive days you’ve completed a habit. Miss a day, and your streak resets to zero. Building long streaks creates momentum and motivation!

How much does Premium cost?
- Monthly: $4.99/month
- Yearly: $49.90/year (save 17%)
Prices may vary by region due to local taxes and currency conversion.
How do I subscribe?
- Open HabitSpark and go to Settings or the Premium screen
- Choose Monthly or Yearly plan
- Confirm purchase through App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
- Premium activates immediately
How do I cancel my subscription?
Important: You must cancel through your device’s app store, not in HabitSpark.
iOS (iPhone/iPad):
1. Open Settings on your device
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find HabitSpark and tap Cancel Subscription
Android:
1. Open Google Play Store
2. Tap your Profile icon β Payments & subscriptions β Subscriptions
3. Find HabitSpark and tap Cancel subscription
You’ll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
Why was I charged?
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. If you see an unexpected charge:
- Check if you forgot to cancel before renewal
- Verify the charge matches our pricing
- For refunds, contact Apple or Google directly (see below)
How do I get a refund?
We do not process refunds directly. All payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play.
For iOS refunds:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find the HabitSpark purchase and request refund
For Android refunds:
- Open Google Play Store
- Tap Menu β Account β Purchase history
- Find the purchase and tap “Request a refund”
Refund eligibility is determined by Apple/Google’s policies, not HabitSpark.
I paid but Premium isn’t working
- Restart the app β close completely and reopen
- Restore purchases β go to Settings β Restore Purchases
- Check your account β make sure you’re logged into the same account used for purchase
- Wait a few minutes β sometimes activation takes 1-5 minutes
- If still not working, contact us with your transaction ID (found in email receipt)
π Reporting Bugs & Issues
The app is crashing
Try these steps in order:
- Update the app to the latest version
- Restart your device
- Reinstall the app (your data is saved in your account)
- If it still crashes, report the bug (see below)
How do I report a bug?
Email us at habitspark.coach@gmail.com with:
- Subject: “Bug Report: [brief description]”
- Device: iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24, etc.
- OS version: iOS 17.2, Android 14, etc.
- App version: Found in Settings β About
- Steps to reproduce: What exactly did you do before the bug happened?
- Screenshots or screen recording (if possible)
We investigate all bug reports, but we cannot respond to each one individually.
My data disappeared
Your data is saved to your account. If habits are missing:
- Make sure you’re logged into the correct account (check Settings β Account)
- Pull down to refresh the habit list
- Check if habits are frozen (free users have a 3-habit limit)
- If using multiple devices, ensure you’re logged into the same account
If data is still missing, contact support with your account email.
π Notifications & Reminders
I’m not getting notifications
- Check device settings: Settings β HabitSpark β Notifications β Allow
- Check in-app settings: HabitSpark β Settings β Notifications β Enable
- Disable battery saver which may block background notifications
- Check Do Not Disturb mode isn’t active
Can I customize notification sounds?
Currently, HabitSpark uses your device’s default notification sound. Custom sounds are planned for a future update.
π Challenges & Social Features
What are Challenges?
Challenges are group habit competitions. Create or join a challenge, invite friends, and track progress together on a leaderboard.
What are Duels?
1v1 competitions with friends. Challenge a friend to see who can maintain a habit better over 7, 14, or 30 days.
How do points work?
You earn points for:

Daily check-ins
- π₯ Maintaining streaks
- π Winning challenges and duels
- ποΈ Earning badges
Points determine your rank in the leaderboard.
π Privacy & Data
What data does HabitSpark collect?
- Account info (email, username)
- Habit data (names, check-ins, streaks)
- Device info for notifications
- Anonymous usage analytics
We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my account?
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
Steps to delete your account:
- Open HabitSpark app
- Go to Settings β Account β Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Tap Delete Permanently
What gets deleted:

Important notes:
- Subscriptions: Deleting your account does NOT cancel your subscription. You must cancel through App Store or Google Play first.
- Processing time: Account deletion is processed immediately.
- Recovery: Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account.
- Email reuse: You can create a new account with the same email after deletion.
Before deleting, consider:
- π₯ Export your data (Settings β Export My Data) to keep a record
- π Cancel subscription through your app store
- π Leave challenges you’re participating in
How do I export my data?
GDPR gives you the right to receive all your data (Article 20 - Right to Data Portability).
Steps to export:
- Open HabitSpark app
- Go to Settings β Account β Export My Data
- Tap Export
- Choose how to save/share the file (email, Files app, cloud storage)
What’s included in export:

Alternative: If you cannot access the app, email habitspark.coach@gmail.com with subject “GDPR Data Request” and we will process your request manually.

Best practices for building habits
- Start small β “Read 1 page” is better than “Read 1 hour”
- Be specific β “Walk 10 minutes at 7am” beats “Exercise more”
- Use reminders β Set notifications at consistent times
- Don’t break the chain β Protect your streak!
- Celebrate wins β Acknowledge your progress
Why 21/66 days?
Research suggests it takes about 21 days to form a simple habit and 66 days for it to become automatic. HabitSpark tracks your progress toward these milestones.
